housings best prices on the web were about $899 in
US dollars from California sources.

If you check B&H photo in New York you will see that
previous Wide & Tele Pana adapter lenses of LESSOR

and not the higher Pana almost Leica Like quality of the
Japan domestic optics
!

The waist battery is usually $499 but it was once on
sale for about $399 plus shipping and etc.  But that
was an older model, this newer
MAMBA2 version is
more powerful almost 10 hours in use time and
unlike previous models will work will All Pana cams
!

To this you could add air shipment from Japan, duties
there and VAT tax as well as any sales taxes and then
you would have to figure a commission or charges by
people in Japan to pack and process all this...
Let's figure ZERO and You Don't have to pay any of
          these kinds of fees...   say
they just like working for Free!

However, Here you would have to pay FedEX, insurance
and some profit for anyone doing this.
can you beat ... $99 ?

That brings our package total to
$1845

We have the
BLACK MAMBA2 listed for about 2 grand
$2495.00
    subtract
$1845.00 & you have

!
You Have Now Been Warned...

*actually you e-mailers have been far more graphic in your losses you have reported...

F.Y.I.

We have heard from e-mailers who have claimed
they have sold their accessories and virtually gotten
their camcorder for Free... that's Not Too Shabby.
Although I personally would not recommend that
but, I can appreciate the reasoning & necessity.

If the camcorder sold separately it would sell for
over two grand and when it does come to the US
at the NAB show in May 2005, it will sell for way above
that price because for one... it will be a BLACK version
for Professional Products Dealers, not Wal-Mart or
some local Happy Time Cam
!

e-mailer writes ...
"Why do you call the cam the
BLACK MAMBA2  ?"

Good Question and you will not believe the answer but
I will try.   In a word... to protect you. Protect the Owners
of the camcorder.

      Let me
EXPLAIN ...
which happens to be the title of this particular Web Page.

You ever notice that when you walk into Sears you see
tools that say 'Craftsman' and your wife sees appliances
& they say 'Kenmore?'  Did you know there is no such
thing, no such plant or company it is all contrived. Those
tools are for the most part Stanley & the appliances, well
they could be White/Westinghouse or Whirlpool or GE.

They are in a bid system... because Sears has so much
buying power they can create their own names on the
products they sell and have no competition from others
selling the same name products.

INTEL had to do the same thing, when they made the
new processor 086, followed by 186 which in turn was
replaced by the 286  and then the 386 and finally the
486. As soon as each was announced all competitors
were out the next day with their OWN 186, 286 and etc...
because you can't patent or copyright a word or a number
in this case.
So when it came time for the latest... the 586 became
Pentium.  Nobody could figure that out and as much as
they tried... they could Not compete. They lost market
share & soon all these companies gained their leadership
position back  and the competitors have been struggling
ever since.

Both you and I know this is an important buy and for
anyone's wallet today 1, 2 or 3 grand is Not chump
change. Folks, there are clowns out there working out
of a back of a vehicle on eBay, Ukraine with a seemingly
US based web site or a broom closet in Tokyo that
will do their best to rip you off, sell you a bill of goods
you did not order or skip town with YOUR money.

You Won't See ANY English Documentation either !
I am here and hear it all, every day. I sell nothing but
I have a loyalty to my readers and people that would
just like to get a fair shake.  By saying we have the
Mamba2 will slow these rip off artist as they have a
hard time selling a non-existent name. Their history
is based on anonymity, pretenders to be businesses
without offices, licenses and worse of all non US
citizens and legal residents so as to avoid any type
of prosecution or held accountable and beyond the
control and reach of any police.
MXSource & Lopaka are American citizens in the
Chicago & Honolulu area. They both are licensed
to conduct domestic & Import type business, use
US Banks, US currency, importers from around
the world and have existed for decades doing
international business.  By not collecting any funds
UNTIL they can produce 2 things before the sale
commences... provide the Serial Numbers of the
camcorders and the Tracking Number for the
FedEX shipment... you are assured of positive
and secure delivery. I would even go so far as
to recommend in addition to using your credit
card which will Automatically give you a 1 year
USA warranty on anything you buy and if it is
THAT important to you, have it shipped over
night express to the nearest FedEX station. That
way it is air conditioned, secured in a special
location because it is insured and it will always
be ready whenever You decide to walk in and
pick it up even if it's the second after they open
their doors at 8AM that next morning. It sure
beats waiting impatiently for a delivery truck all
day and hoping the 1 minute he is there you are
not... what should we say...        in disposed !

This took a long time to figure out and when
you see and hear from people all over, that
you will never hear about, the anguish, the
really swell deal that went south, the money
sent with nothing returned or no one you can
go to complain or get any redress or recourse
and getting something off EBAY that is worn,
looks used, missing parts could be what's called
'seconds,' the price is not really what they say
and costs winds up double what you expected .
CAVEAT EMPTOR !
I just put these incidents together & came up with
this idea. It has worked now 7 years just great
for people here in the states as well as e-mailers
everywhere. Otherwise I would not even have
people in Japan using and bragging about this
free service. Your response has been great
and your happiness is my reward. I wish I
could do even more. One thing is for sure you
WILL be one happy camper opening this very
Unique product for the first time.

meister, I'm from Canada, will I get ripped off by our
customs and duties?

Your call...        as we have had great success in the
    past with the MX3k, MX5k & MX7000 being delivered
to relatives, friends, co-workers living here in the US
close to where you live and not have to worry. Failing
that some enterprising Canucks have had delivery
made to the nearest FedEX office here to their home
& just come down for a vacation and picked up their
cam safe, air conditioned and sound. Just make sure
Your Mamba is marked FedEX   'HOLD FOR PICK-UP'

                                      chucky-meister, my man,
The more I fiddle with it, the better I like it…the Mambino.

A growing love affair.  I have spent a number of hours
learning various functions and tonight, for the first time, I
played some footage back on our 32 inch TV.  It was
splendid, indeed.  Sharp, great color saturation, vivid, etc.

Low light stuff, with the night shot function was quite amazing
even with the 8 fps frame rate.  I shot some deer milling about
in near darkness.  Better than MX5000 and usable clips.  Some
folks on the forum say that this ain’t a pro camera; not a VX2100
DSR-DVX100, but for this price it has got to be one of the best
                                      prosumer
rigs out there.

I got the English remote and English software…and your cheat
sheets are super…and the MX  manual is very useful too.  The
menus are a bit of a pain, but I will live with that.  One thing I
haven’t come across is a lens hood.       That would be helpful
                                     shooting in bright sunlight…

I have not done a lot of stills… I will sooner or later and will send
anything good.  I am going to shoot a pinball museum this Friday
as my first serious venture.  I think it will be fine…

meister I did not follow your instructions and I just got
my MX and I received absolutely nothing from MY
contacts for English manuals, instructions, even the
software is for Japanese windows... will I STILL be
able to somehow get that Complete English package
of materials that I see on your site?

You are NOT going to believe this but right now in the
heart of Tokyo it runs about 35 hundred Yen a page
for technical journals to be translated and with over
212 pages alone just for the MX7k Owner's Manual you
are not easily going to find some of these shyster
dealers  eager to help you out. Sometimes buying on
the CHEAP is not necessarily the smartest buy.

The Good News is I have over two dozen MXmouse
pages which is a Whole lot more than any brochure
I've ever seen !
http://www.supervideo.com/MXmouse.htm

Can I trust the people I meet in Chat Rooms, Forums &
other web locations for Really Cheap Deals and Buy it
so called directly from overseas?

Look...It's your money and you can throw it away any
way you want. But, for over 13 years here on the web
I get all these whiners and bellyachers wanting their
money back, their equipment sent or to exchange the
stuff they got in the mail for the Real Thing.  You get
what you pay for and you get treated the way it is
expected for those willing to take chances.  I don't
know if the 'guy' on EBay is honest or the 'guy' you
tell me about from Tokyo will not rip you off. That's
the risk you will HAVE TO TAKE. Good Luck. You
might need it.  BTW,    diamonds are 93% off for
cash from Calcutta India...    seen a stampede of
fools trying that route...              me thinks not... !

Now you know the rest of the story... Take Care
