meister... is there any way to hook up the housing to
the All Day & part of the night Waist Battery Pack? 
TWO ANSWERS:
First for External non-water tight use...  
Carefully and you should seek the assistance of         
     a plastic specialist if you wish to keep the integrity         
      of the 'Moisture Seal for the local Environment... It        
            is done by carefully micro-drilling a slot in the bottom          
        part of the housing in the area of the Seal Grooves so      
   that when closed it pinches tight around the Battery    
 umbilical power cord to keep moisture / water from
entering!        

 Second is keeping the water tight seal...  
Carefully disassemble the waist battery so the plastic
 outer shell is removed and then put contents into a    
       Ziploc bag with some silica gel to control any moisture.
   Now fashion the remaining part of the battery cells so
     they conform to the sides of the camcorder Right side.
    The space remaining is sufficient for the 9 hr battery.
