RIZR
phone
as far back as five or more months ago... that was
actually 'pre-mature' and was called
a MotoRIZR Z3 and later around the holidays there was
a Z6. NOT THE SAME.
Both The Z6 and the Z3 are NOT this great new
Z8
Kick Slider. FAR FROM
IT!
I predict that anyone releasing the Z3 or even the Z6
will live to regret that disaster.
However, if Verizon, AT&T and Sprint
ever do get around to launching the
RIZR
Z8
in 2007 they will have a BIG Winner just like the
StarTAC and the
RAZR
family.

However... It now appears that
T-Mobile USA
will be launching the RIZR Z3 unfortunately
on Monday 12th March 2007. Be Careful
!
OK, here is how it works... the very first chance to get a hold
of this world class futuristic Smart Phone...

to buy it UN-locked off the web for GSM networks.
I expect first week in July
supplies and inventory will appear.

OK, speaking of iPHONE
Houston, we HAVE a problem. Or make that Nokia, LG, Sony,
Samsung but especially Motorola who is Fast going from #1
manufacturer to #2 and maybe to #3 or even #4 before the dust
settles. The iPhone is about to change the landscape on how the
entire Cell Phone Industry conducts business. I originally did
think Apple made a mistake by not rolling the iPhone out on
announcement but I now see that THAT was a cold calculated
attempt to turn the industry up-side down on it's head and that
when the phone does arrive there will be Buzz, pandemonium
and lines like a Star Wars premier. The industry has never
seen anything like this before. And those that don't face the
inevitable conclusion, will wind up on the ash heap of history!
I sincerely believe that not only will competitors of AT&T
will fall but also manufacturer's are also going to pay dearly.
What Jobs has done has given the Apple Heads fair warning
and a six month lead time to NOT Re-new any contracts with
existing carriers and by June will have 1/4th of his base ready
to flip and run with this icon of a phone. By Christmas he
will
have half his base of millions of Apple Heads converted and
by Jan 2009 the entire Apple network converted. AT&T looks
like they are just along for the ride even though they have a
LONG multi year arrangement. If I were making cell phones
like Motorola I would Immediately (if not sooner) launch a
blitz of everything they got coming down the pike to head
this train wreck coming through the tunnel of the cell phone
industry. If they don't they will from the CEO on down be
GONE from the scene by Christmas. Mark my
Words...
I WILL post that open letter I promised back in January and
February here hopefully by next month to all the Exec's. Here
is a GREAT example of what Moto can do to stem the tide...
