How can I relate my computer monitor to the resolution for my

Most computers
are based on the IBM PC (personal computer) and the
North America TV standards of NTSC TV signal. The basic
Monitor resolution is 640 X 480 = VGA
800 by 600 = SVGA or Super Video
Graphics Array
1024 by 768 = XGA or
Extended Graphics Array
1280 by 1024 = SXGA or Super Extended Graphics
Array

High Definition Yet !
1600 by 1200 = UXGA
or Ultra Extended Graphics Array / HD
