NEXT GENERATION WALL HANGING TV's ARRIVING:
OK... here goes Part I
The Flat Screen Ultra Thin ( about TWO Inches) and Ultra Light weight 16 X 9 TV's.
Some wall hangers have been around for years now and have had unbelievable high
prices.  Between you and me...  the picture quality was not all that great either...

Now comes a new generation and a New Technology.....
Organic, yup! Let's call the
old systems TFT
/Plasma  like your Laptops, Notebook computers and the 32" to 60"
behemoths at airports and sporting facilities walls. The new technology
OLED or
Organic Light Emitting Diode is FAR Cheaper, Very Light and NO HEAT & only
29 pounds instead of 65 pounds for a 32" and 35 pounds for a 50 incher as opposed to
85 or more pounds for the old Plasma.   $999 may actually prove too high a price
believe it or not for the 32" and even the 50" could be less than 15 hundred once
the dust settles.  Oh, and we are talking 2002 gang... not some pie in the sky 5 to 10
years down the road.  All these plants are coming on line as we speak here.  This
OLED is not only far SHARPER, but it may Only come in HD as 1280 X 1024 would
be the bottom resolution! Already we have 2048 X 1536 @ 60Hz has been successfully demonstrated at 120" diagonal level! The temptation will be to jump at crashing Plasma
prices as these new OLED's will be all over us in weeks and not months and Plasma
inventories will have to be unloaded.  Remember, Plasma resolution actually sucks
compared to this new Technology...    OK, I have a LINK so you all can stump
the local A/V salesmen like you have been doing with my DV cam site for years

The latest first owners reports on IP7, PC120's and MX2500, PV130, DV300;
will be right here.... watch for it.

Sony USA Announces Arrival of DCR-PC120BT
September 2001 (notice the WTC!)...

Amazing you read down to this far.... well, the least I can do for your persistence is
to give you a tid bit or two of some Page Two News....  Of the 750 plus plants that    have shut down in Japan due to their severe Economic Recession... was the plant that would have given us the first 3 hour mini DV tape in LP and that would of          course translated into 2 hour in SP.   The TRV1000 3 CCD AND the long awaited       PC3000 3 CCD cams, sorry guys... were Also affected and are on indefinite hold.     In fact add to that list our portable DV deck GV-D1000, Canon XL-2 & on & on!

This just in before Christmas...  The DVD burner in a Laptop is 2002.  The

DVD burner  in a work station for 999 dollars or less is HERE and is Sony.
No sales tax is when you order it from PC warehouse, CDW and
the other
magazine dealers.   Order your RAM and HDD separately and you can save
REALLY big bucks... like 60 and 100 GB HDD under 100 bucks and 1GB of
RAM for under 100 bucks as well.  I will post here all the OLED wall hanging
TV's as they roll into town. Don't worry it will be big news and you will not
have to depend on me. Yes, there are places on the web to get all your
movies, television shows and concerts for your new DVD burner.  But,
more than ever you WILL need high speed access.  Telephone modems
will need all night for one movie... or longer. Cable can be almost one
for one... two hour movie could take two hours...  big difference.  These
sites maybe over seas BTW.  You can report back to me and I would
be happy to pass along your comments and feed back.  At this late
date I am still not sure what Sony USA wants to do about price and
especially when it comes to the new PC120... it is sky high here in
Tokyo after city taxes, VAT and the kit and no USA warranty you're
talking well over $2700 when all is said and done in US currency. It
sells for $1599 retail in England Christmas day but does not include
taxes but does include 'partial' kit however.  Sony's US web site has
it at two grand and I would think that let's out 999 or 1399 type pricing
at least for the moment. We are still talking a March release date
with very little inventory at first so I expect no fire sales in that
department as well.   More later...
Happy Holidays... from Philly 27th through 1 January
I will get e-mail but not reply until 3 January...
   Will be in Florida
all of January, Feb. & March getting my parents a new home!
