This Laptop
is about as thick as most Laptop LIDS! Less than an
inch and to me looking and holding it... looks about
a Half an inch and no more than a pound. That may
be over stating, but you get the picture... so wafer
thin and seemingly light as a feather. AMEN!

Coming soon to a local
Pana dealer near you will be a new PV-EX100 which
looks like a miniature TRV900 as it is smaller
than even the PC110 and has a huge screen, MPEG4,
Blue Tooth, Mega Pixel 1.55m rating, USB port UXGA
pictures, SD/MMC flash mem, Leica Dicomar Video
Lens, easier controls than PC110, slower smoother
zoom than Canon and quieter and lower Lux
than JVC.
Dual use is that it is a Two Piece modular
unit. The bottom
piece clips onto the top transforming the TRV900
looking cam into almost an Elura look! The bottom piece
is the Digital Camera ! more later this month @ the
WEVA show...

TRV1000 & 256 Memory Stick? How much longer?
I
now believe there will BE no TRV1000
as the VX2000 is set to go below $1999 and THAT would
have been a TRV1000 price point.... In 1999 when they announced
all new 21st Century Millennium changes the TRV1000 would
be set between a $799 PC9, a $999 TRV30, a $1999 TRV1000 and
a $2999 VX2000 and even
the $3999 PD150.
Competition has changed the landscape
dramatically, Pana MX is taking both Canon & Sony
out with the garbage in the Home market... Not a pretty sight!
Sony and Canon's GL series are in trouble
and its back to the design boards till NEXT year.... Anyone
want to take bets? 256MB Memory Stick may funny enough be
less than the current 128MB !
WEVA convention Aug 28th thru 30th
in Vegas @ Bally's Casino will have some surprises that I
have been asked already NOT to comment on. I will be there
with a cam around my neck... ask but don't touch! I should
have a ton of toys.. More when I won't get into too much 'Loose
Canon' trouble...

Why doesn't Pana have a MX3000 in USA?
Do they think the PV951 is a match for a GL-1 or VX2000? No,
that
would be Gross Ineptitude. But, on second thought they
could be
suffering from... naw, I don't want to go down that
path, not right now...
